Buck Me by Jellicoe Noodle

Last saturday was a real bad day for me, I had shitty day from shitty customer, then I had to wait for a bus for 1 hour and had to spend $ 20 for taxi just to get here



I promised Olivia that I would take her to eat here, and I think she is a bit pissed cause I let her wait 30 minutes for me :P.

When I arrived there, the first impression is not good and the waitress is not interested in serving. The "uncle uncle" is rude and does not even smile to me when I ordered

The lighting is not good, the menu is even oily and the table seem dirty



We start off by ordering fried "Meat Balls", pork mince mixed with prawn mince battered and deep fried. Bit over priced in my opinion $ 1.50



Red pork noodle with some vegies and clear soup. Still a bit over priced for $ 8.30, the taste is not bad but not special



Rice vermicelli with wonton plus chicken

For dessert we have two course (Not exatcly) of cheese cake and tiramisu



Got it from bread top but not so special



Strangely the tiramisu tasted like coffee cake, I feel like I have been cheated *Damn you BreadTop*

My take on Indian Call Centre Operator

Currently I'm subscribed to FOXTEL, basically it is a cable television service in Australia. I'm paying 36.95 per month to get CNN, BBC world, Nat Geo, Discovery Channel, Channel V etc.

But can't afford it no more so I decided to disconnect the foxtel service so that I can get more cash into my savings, so what I called up foxtel this morning and spoke to one of their consultant about my account.

I was then redirected to "a disconnection" department which apparently sounded like Indian Operator he told me that his name is "Roby". Basically this is how our conversation goes

Me : * putting up a fake accent * Hi I would like to get my foxtel disconnected please

Roby : Yes sir certainly no problem, can I get your first name please

Me: I'm Herman Sunjaya

Roby : Yes sir before we proceed to disconnect your service may I know why you want to disconnect from foxtel

Me: Can't afford it

Roby: What is your favourite channel ?

Me: * ???? * Urm.. CNN, BBC, Nat geo, VH1, MTV, ESPN

Roby: Do you like soccer sir ? I love liverpool did you see the game last night ..... it's a very good game sir on ESPN

Me: * WTF * Yea I love arsenal they beat Man U ass down right

Roby: Do you like arsenal ? Oh... I see I love liverpool sir .. sure I like to watch the game last night ....

Me: Okay ~

* Pause for 10 seconds *

Roby: Let me see

* Pause for 10 seconds *

Roby: Are you going to watch the game tomorrow ?

Me: No !

Roby:*GASP* Can i get your address please ?

Me: bla bla bla bla

Roby: Can you spell that please ....

Me: !!!!!

Roby: Do you like basketball sir

Me: * I just played along *

This conversation about what's on foxtel goes on for the next 5 minutes... I had to interupt him before he burns my phone bill.

Me: Okay can I disconnect now please

Roby: Sir .. If l look into your account you have been very loyal to foxtel would you like to get foxtel for half price for next 3 months.

Me: *Thinking thinking*

Roby: You'll be paying only half price which is very good ... bla bla bla

Me: Okay I'll take it !

Roby: That's excellent sir! Let me change the details

Me: ............

Roby: May I know where are you from sir ?

Me: India ....

Roby: *Exicted* Yay I'm from India too ( Gotcha bastard ), how come you don't have indian accent

Me: * I was about to put up a fake indian accent * .. I grew up here

Roby: Where are you from sir ? North or South India

Me: My parents come from North India, I grew up here don't know about India

Roby: Do you like the cricket sir ? I can't wait for the malaysian cup ~

Me: ???? * No idea about malaysian cup * urmm.... I'm waiting for the ashes .....

Roby: Oh... great game ~~~~~~ * By this time he knows that I'm faking it .. I guess :P *

Me: Okay .. are we done ?

Roby: Thank you very much sir ....

It happens 15 minutes ago ...
