Sydney's Winter Night Out
Me and my two buds feels like having big dinner without spending too much on a sunday night. We took a short walk around sydney's chinatown precint. The place is lively and busy, people are walking and you can hear cantonese, mandarin chatter around the area
These shops often open until 10 pm, for your info to have shops open until that time is kinda weird in Australia
We went down dixon arcade which is like an old shopping strip of hongkong. The shop is clusterred and full of "angry" grandmas and grandpa tending their shop.
It's cold and I feel like having something hot something like a soup but I need something big and nice. We went down to menya restaurant down near prince centre on chinatown

Shop TG8, 8 Quay St.,
Haymarket NSW 2000
(Entrance from Thomas St.,
next Burlington Centre)
The place is a bit quiet when we arrive and only about 10 customers at that time. You can smell the sweet ramen stock from the kitchen. And the moment we arrives " YARISHIMASE !! "
Look barbed wire !!
My bud ordered a miso ramen set along with karaage chicken set, the taste of karaage chicken is succulent and juicy. But it's not too special at all.
My other buddy ordered himself a teriyaki chicken don. I don't ge the chance to taste it ...... >.<
I got myself a miso katsu set. A battered chicken served with black miso sauce. The taste of black miso is sweet, a litte bit sour but it blends real well with rice and the chicken meat
Everyone of us had this extra bowl of shoyu ramen with roast pork with vegetables along with home made ramen noodle. The soup base is your typical ramen, the taste is so sweet and yet blend in perfectly with the noodle. So when you eat it ... "SLURPPPPPPPP"
After that we left the restaurant .. followed by " YARISIMASE@#$@?$%$ ! "
The night is cold and young, and when you have 3 hungry guys we decided to get more food.
The good old superbowl ! Yay !
The uncle who guard the restaurant. This is certainly one of the busiest restaurant in chinatown they are open until 3 am everyday.
Hongkong TV playing on the background. It's amazing being in sydney, which is like a huge melting pot for all culture from all over the world
What is the best addition to a good winter night ? Fried rice with chicken and salted fish damnnnnnnn .... the msg is so good.
"Thousands" years egg, pork and porridge along with cha kue, the best thing in your life !
Total damage : $ 17
Enjoy the post and keep on drollin ~
