Little Italy Leichardt

I got a call from mei2 today and she asked whether I got plan for today, I was like ... " huh ? " ... going out on my birthday .... That's not the plan for today but anyway I manage to assemble meiky, novelitha, erik, annora, hilman and david to go out.

It's a shame Zidane, your header was magic for me in 1998 but in the end why do you have to head butt materazzi but overall it's one of the best world cup finals for a long time. It's entertaining and chances are made all along the game. No 7 of France played really well and Claude makelele played really nice for a player of his age. Andre pirlo, Fabio cannavaro, Fabion Groso, and Gianluigi Buffon played amazingly too. I'm so glad I didn't miss this world cup.

Anyway then we decide to join in the fun with the Italian at leichardt. We went down to bar italia with the aim to get some ice cream !!! The famous home made gelato.

Bar italia is home run cafe located near the leichardt townhall. I ordered myself some fetucini * forgot the name *

Erik ordered himself spaghetti bar italia, it's a spaghetti mixed with spicy tomato sauce, bacon, seafood, prawn and everything else.



Mei2 got herself some creamy fettucini with cheese urm.... >.< so nice but too cheesy for her taste.



Meiky got herself some grill and charcoal chicken with tomato sauce, seems nice



Annora and novel got themselves some the good old sphagetti carbonara



The place is really laid back and the mood is pretty nice, it would be better if we were to have some live music

However the service is not good, we would expect to have a waitress to come and serve us. To order we would have to go up to the counter and select the menu. To get the drink you will need to go up to the counter too.

One thing I like about bar italia is the ICE CREAM. My goodness I had the pistachio ice cream, the blend of vanilla, milk and bits of pistachio is absolutely marvelous. The apple pie ice cream is like telling your brain that you are having apple pie but hey ... it's an ice cream, why ?? I tried their tobelerone ice cream sadly a bit disappointing, it's like having blended tobelerone with ice.

After a good dinner we decided to stroll around norton street the homebase of Italian fans in Sydney, the party is still bustling with lots of people honking their car and singing out loud italian national anthem. Parents and kids are having lots of fun









This is the italian forum, a nice arcade with lots of nice cafe all around and it's located along with a residential housing with a beautiful ambience and great night life.









Overall Leichardt a great place to hang out with, nice but the food is not too special, the ice cream is marvelous, the people is unique
